Harry Boparai, OD

Optometric Physician

Dr. Harry Boparai was born and raised in Windsor Ontario, Canada. He received his bachelors degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and was accepted into the Chemistry Honor’s Society.

Dr. Boparai then moved to New York City to obtain his Doctor of Optometry Degree from SUNY College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Boparai remained at SUNY as a researcher and graduate faculty, working alongside industry leaders in optometry and ophthalmology conducting research in the area of glaucoma and ocular disease. Dr. Boparai has published several articles and presented lectures and posters at National meetings.

After leaving the academic environment, Dr. Boparai joined a growing private medical practice in New York City. He has served various roles in medicine including: Medical Director, Chief of Eye Care Services at a major inner city NYC hospital, and Director of Eye Care Services at Brooklyn’s largest Continuing Care/Nursing Home.

Dr. Boparai remains a consultant to various medical device and pharmaceutical companies. As a physician who trains his colleagues, Dr. Boparai maintains the latest medical expertise.

Dr. Boparai was the recipient of the 2013 honoree Award at VISIONS Manhattan Awards Ceremony 2013. Dr. Boparai has received the “Top Doctor” designation in eye care in 2012 and 2013.

Dr. Boparai served as the King County Optometric Physicians of Washington President in 2016/2017 and served as a Trustee to the State 2018/2019.

Dr. Boparai is an active volunteer and community member. He has relocated to the Northwest to be closer to his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children.

Mary Coday, MD

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Mary Coday grew up in North Seattle. She received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Bioengineering at the University of Washington, summa cum laude. Dr. Coday then moved to Boston to obtain her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1994. She did her internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, followed by her residency in ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Dr. Coday has been in practice for 22 years in the greater Seattle area. She has worked at Overlake EyeCare, PS, for the last 16 years. Dr. Coday is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, having served as past president and trustee. She is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Washington State Medical Association. She received a “Top Doctors” award in 2013, 2020 and 2022. In 2018 she received 'Trademark Women of Distinction Honors'. She is active in the community and is a provider through the EyeCare America program. In her spare time, Dr. Coday goes on outings with her family, reads, does dance fitness and serves as adjunct faculty for Northwest University in Kirkland.

Optometric Physician

Dr. William Prothero was born in Seattle, Washington. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington, majoring in chemistry. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. After graduation he completed a teaching appointment, specializing in ocular pathology, at The Ohio State University. Dr. Prothero is board certified by the American Board of Clinical Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section, Optometric Physicians of Washington and American Public Health Association. He has been in practice since 1987. He has special interests in pediatric eye care and specialty contact lens fitting. In his spare time Dr. Prothero enjoys family, sailing and computers.
